There are big questions in life that it’s sometimes easier not to ask.

Questions that can make us feel uncomfortable, or uncertain.

Questions that hang over our lives like clouds on a rainy day.

Who am I? Why am I here?

Why is there suffering in the world? 

Does God exist? Where is God?

It takes courage to ask these questions

It takes even more courage to accept that the answers don’t always come easily.

Each of these pictures was drawn by someone who was prepared to ask the question ‘Where is God?’

Each artist has begun to answer the question in their own way.

Look at what they have created, and the things they have said. You may agree with some of them, and disagree with others. Take time to think about their point of view.

Ask yourself that same question: ‘Where is God?’

You don’t have time to create a work of art, but if you want to, take a post-it note and write or draw your response to the question. Like these artists, begin the journey towards finding some answers.
